The MoVET Project Final Conference & TPM: Celebrating Collaboration and Progress in Brussels

Article

The MoVET Project is ready to conclude its journey towards the internationalisation of VET systems in the Western Balkans! On 5 and 6 December, we gathered in Brussels for the project's Final Conference and Transnational Project Meeting, marking a remarkable conclusion.

On 5 December, the MoVET Project hosted its Final Conference at Residence Palace, under the theme “From Mobility to Opportunity: EU and Western Balkans Collaboration in the Internationalisation of VET.”

The event began with opening remarks by Giulia Meschino, EVTA Secretary General, followed by Brigitte van den Berg from the European Parliament, who highlighted the value of strengthening EU-Western Balkans collaboration in VET. Enrica Chiozza from the European Commission presented the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, a key instrument for regional development. Silvia Genero from ENAIP NET outlined the project’s achievements, challenges, and potential future opportunities.

Western Balkans partners shared their mobility experiences, discussing expectations, challenges, and opportunities. A panel discussion, moderated by Clara Agostini from EVTA, included insights from experts like Lisa Rustico (European Training Foundation), Ivana Velkova (ALDA), Diana Biba (Kolegji Profesional i Tiranës), and Jetmir Berisha (AVETAE). Patricia Tejada Fernández from EVTA concluded by presenting future funding opportunities for the Western Balkans.

On 6 December, the partners met for the Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) to discuss the final steps of the project. The session focused on reviewing deliverables, final reporting, and exploring ways to sustain the project’s impact beyond its conclusion.

The MoVET Project’s Final Conference and TPM showcased the power of collaboration in addressing shared challenges and fostering growth. As the project approaches its conclusion, its achievements will inspire ongoing efforts to advance VET systems and build a brighter future for vocational education and training.
